Well here's your chance!

 

We are planning a hosted trip to New Brunswick, in July 2011, to fly fish for Atlantic Salmon on the world-renown Miramichi and Restigouche Rivers.

 

Your host will be Jacques Heroux, a well known New Brunswick fly tyer and professional guide who has fished these waters extensively.

 

The trip includes:

  • 8 days of accommodation and meals at the fishing lodges
  • 6 full days of guided fly fishing
  • Ground transportation from Moncton Airport to and from the lodges
  • A visit to W.W. Doak and the Atlantic Salmon Museum

Itinerary

Wednesday, 20 July 2011
  • Anglers will converge at the Moncton International Airport.
  • You will be transported to Restigouche River Lodge, situated on the junction of the Restigouche and the Matapedia Rivers.
  • The lodge has superior cabin style accommodation with a comfortable lounge offering a panoramic view of the Restigouche River.
  • Gourmet meals are provided in a friendly, family style setting.
  • The first evening you will meet the other anglers, exchange fishing tales, and prepare your gear for the next day.

Thursday, Friday, Saturday, 21-23 July 2011
  • You will have 3 full days of guided fly fishing on the Restigouche's lower holding pools.
  • Guides are assigned on the basis of one guide per two anglers.
  • Fishing will be from the bank, wading or from a large powered canoe that carries two anglers.
  • There is also the possibility of fishing the Matapedia River on one day of the trip.

Sunday, 24 July 2011
  • You will travel with Jacques by road, to the Miramichi River for the next phase of the adventure.
  • You will visit the Atlantic Salmon Museum and the world famous W.W. DOAK Salmon Fly Fishing Tackle Shop, both located in Doaktown, New Brunswick.
  • In the afternoon you will arrive at the Colford Lodge located on the bank of the Miramichi River near Blackville.

Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, 25-27 July 2011
  • The Colford Lodge boasts very comfortable accommodation, hearty home cooked meals, and most experienced guides on the river.
  • You will have 3 full days of fly fishing with access to more pools on the Miramichi River than any other sporting camp.
  • The fishing will be from the bank, wading or powered canoes.

You will be transported to Moncton Airport to catch your departure flights.

Costs

The cost is $4,275.00CDN (13% tax included) per angler.

 

Not Included

Travel to New Brunswick (Moncton International Airport), licenses, and gratuities ($40.00 per day which covers guides and staff).

 

Reservations, Deposits, and Final Payments

A 50% deposit is required within 21 days of reserving your dates to confirm the reservation.
Final payment is due 60 days prior to scheduled arrival date.
For reservations made 60 days or less prior to scheduled arrival date, full payment is due upon invoicing.

 

Cancellations and Refunds

Written cancellation up to 60 days prior to departure: refund of deposit less $400 handling charge, per person.
Cancellation within 60 days: at this point, no refund will be made unless a suitable replacement is provided.
